ABOUT MOBERLY GUESTHOUSE
Moberly Guesthouse is a ten-minute drive from Golden BC. Enjoy the natural surroundings, mountain views, and an abundance of wildlife while you relax in your private suite after a day of exploring the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Our 1400 sq ft cabin has two self-contained suites, both of which are perfect for families, groups, and couples. Larger groups can even book the entire building for exclusive use. Both suites are self-contained with full kitchens, so you can really make yourselves at home when you stay with us.
We are located on 8 acres of treed land in the Moberly area, 10 minutes from Golden, BC and only 25 minutes from Kicking Horse Resort. Golden BC is centrally located for exploring the Rocky Mountains: we are just 25 minutes west of Yoho National Park; 60 minutes west of Banff National Park; 35 minutes east of Glacier National Park; 60 minutes north of Kootenay National Park; and a few hours south of Jasper National Park.
Moberly Guesthouse is a perfect place to stay while exploring the outdoors. Not only are we within a short drive to five National Parks, we also have several local attractions, such as Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Dawn Mountain Nordic ski trails, the Moonraker trails, Mount 7 and Mountain Shadows trails, the beautiful Blaeberry River, Thompson Falls, the Northern Lights Wildlife Centre, and the Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch.
While you’re here, you can enjoy a game of badminton, volleyball, bocce ball, disc golf, or horseshoes on the property, or relax by the campfire and listen to the birds.
Owned and operated by Krista Polley and Eric Feddes, Moberly Guesthouse has been providing affordable accommodation since 2002. Previously run under the name Caribou Hostel, we transformed our six-bed hostel into a four-bed private suite to suit customer demands. We now offer two private suites and no longer operate as a Hostel. We strive to provide a comfortable place for travellers to relax after exploring the Canadian Rockies.
Eric is a journeyman carpenter working full time for a local company, Dogtooth Construction. Krista is an instructor and program coordinator at the College of the Rockies, Golden Campus. Fritz and Relic attend Alexander Park Elementary School in Golden. Rocky protects the property and the family. Erma is supposed to catch mice.
We purchased the property in 2007. Over the years, we have renovated the Guesthouse and worked on the garden, the chicken coop, and the flower beds. We encourage our guests to recycle and compost, and we provide all guests with fresh eggs from our chickens.
